## When to use it:

You should use a Spearman Correlation when:

- You are looking for a relationship between two samples, one sample from each of two variables.
- You can assume that any relationship between the variables is linear.
- The data in the samples are measured at ordinal or scale level.
- The data are related.

Do **not** use this test when:

- You want to compare frequency distributions
- You want to interpret your results in terms of a dependent variable and an independent variable.
